Description

Sharpless-188 is a young planetary nebula 850 light years away in Cassiopeia that was only confirmed in 1965. The asymmetrical shape is thought to be caused by the interstellar medium as the nebula blasts through space at 300,000mph. After a rough night of strong winds on my first target at CSP, I let this one run for several hours. Luckily, the winds suddenly dissipated at 3am and I was able to get plenty of good data.
